🚨 Kevin Hassett Predicts Strong Economic Growth in the Second Half of 2026.
National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett says he expects the U.S. economy to build on recent momentum, pointing to strong final demand and increased capital investment.
“The 4% number that we saw in final demand is about what you should think is going to happen to GDP for the second half of the year.”
Hassett argued that increased capital spending on factories and equipment is laying the foundation for stronger growth in the months ahead.
He also ended the impromptu White House gaggle with a lighthearted exchange with @CaraCastronuova when asked if he had any advice for journalists on making more money.
“I’m an economic advisor… I think you guys are probably optimizing your careers.”
