🚨 Rep. Anna Paulina Luna: ”I’m Not Voting Against the SAVE Act – I’m Fighting to Pass It.”

Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, @RepLuna (R-Fla.) defended her strategy to advance the SAVE Act, saying she wants to attach voter ID and proof of citizenship requirements to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

“We’ve passed the SAVE Act now three times, and the Senate has refused to act. In fact, they’re on vacation right now.”

Luna said she has spoken with lawmakers, including @SenMikeLee, and explored procedural options to move the legislation forward.

“Voter ID plus proof of citizenship is literally a 90-10 issue. Everyone in the country wants this.”

She rejected criticism that her vote was intended to block the bill, arguing instead that she’s trying to force action.

“I’m not voting against the SAVE Act. I’m fighting for the SAVE Act, and I’m fighting for voter ID plus proof of citizenship.”
