@TPerkins explained that true national renewal begins with humility: changing direction, turning back, and acknowledging our dependence on God. Participants prayed state by state, revisiting state constitutions and founding preambles that openly recognized God as essential to the nation’s strength.

Ahead of the bipartisan National Prayer Breakfast, Perkins reflected on Harry S. Truman’s vision during the Cold War – that America’s strength is not found in military power or economic might, but “in the Lord.”
