🚨 MASSIVE SNAP FRAUD SCANDAL ROCKS MASSACHUSETTS
While @MassGovernor @maura_healey faces scrutiny for allegedly withholding SNAP records from the Trump administration, federal prosecutors have uncovered a major fraud scheme tied to a Massachusetts restaurant.
Federal officials say El Primo Restaurant in Leominster was used as a hub for fraud. According to U.S. Attorney Leah Foley, the owner and three others (including two Venezuelan nationals) allegedly used stolen identities to collect:
• $400,000+ in SNAP benefits
• $700,000+ in unemployment benefits (MA & RI)
But that may be just the beginning.
A new audit from State Auditor Diana DiZoglio identified nearly $12 million in public assistance fraud in FY2025 alone.
And here’s the kicker:
Massachusetts is the only state where the governor’s office, legislature, and courts exempt themselves from public records law.
Now, a whistleblower inside the SNAP system warns the real number could be far higher – potentially tied to billions poured into the state’s migrant shelter program.
How much fraud has been hidden?
And how much are taxpayers footing the bill?
