🚨 WHO SHOULD CONTROL YOUR HEALTH DATA?
LindellTV’s @CaraCastronuova caught up with @MAHA_Institute President Mark Gorton at the MAHA Open Data Summit in Washington, D.C., following remarks from HHS @SecKennedy.
Gorton says the push for a new open health data architecture is centered on giving patients greater control over their own medical information instead of leaving it largely in the hands of health systems and other institutions.
“The idea is that the person, the patient, is the center of this.”
That could include everything from individual health records to vaccination records, with patients deciding when and with whom their information is shared.
“If you want to share it with another doctor, that’s up to you. If you want to share with a researcher, that’s up to you.”
