President Trump announced a new trade agreement with South Korea this week, calling it a major step toward strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
The deal is set to reduce tariffs on key American exports while opening greater access for South Korean goods in U.S. markets.
According to administration officials, the agreement focuses heavily on agricultural products, energy exports, and technology sectors.
U.S. beef and grain producers are expected to benefit from expanded market access, while South Korea will see reduced restrictions on electronics and automobile exports.
The White House described the deal as a model for future trade negotiations, emphasizing that it was reached after months of direct talks.
South Korean officials said the agreement provides economic stability and ensures continued cooperation with Washington. The pact is scheduled to take effect later this year once both governments finalize the implementation details.
