President Donald Trump never stops working for the American people, and a new report seems to suggest that he is the most transparent president in modern history, too.
According to data shared with The New York Post, President Trump has had nearly 500 exchanges with the press during his first year back in office, more than doubling the number of his press interactions during the same point in his first term.
“President Trump is the most transparent and accessible President in American history,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in response to the report.
According to the data from the NYP, compiled by political scientist Martha Kumar, the president has had at least 153 interviews, 13 formal press conferences, and 327 question-and-answer sessions with journalists between January 20, 2025, and January 20, 2026.
Such a staggering number of press interactions is a stark contrast to Joe Biden’s administration, or even other presidents beforehand, like President Barack Obama or President George W. Bush.
The report noted, for example, that President Trump has taken questions on or near Air Force One on 73 different occasions in just one year, while Biden did so just 17 times.
“If you have any questions, I’ll answer them, unlike Biden, he didn’t take questions,” the president remarked at White House event last fall. “But I take all the questions you want. You can ask me any damn question you want.”
It’s also fair to note that not only does President Trump interact often with the press nearly every day, but he also directly shares his thoughts and live reactions to national and world events on his social media account on Truth Social, offering a level of personal insight not often seen among American presidents.
