BURCHETT AFTER KAREN BASS DECLINES TO TESTIFY: “CALIFORNIA IS OVERRUN WITH CORRUPTION.”

LindellTV’s @alisonintheknow asks @RepTimBurchett about LA Mayor Karen Bass declining to appear before his House Oversight subcommittee as it investigates potential waste, fraud and abuse involving federal homelessness funding.

“I just think that California is overrun with corruption.”

Burchett’s committee requested @KarenBassLA’s testimony and records concerning Los Angeles homelessness spending after launching an investigation into the LAHSA. The committee says LAHSA has received more than $1 billion in federal funding since 2021.

Asked whether Bass could ultimately be subpoenaed, Burchett broadens his criticism to government-funded NGOs and says too few in the media are “holding their feet to the fire.”
