LindellTV’s @alisonintheknow pressed @SenGaryPeters after he voted against advancing the Stop Insider Trading Act, which included restrictions on congressional stock trading and a voter-ID provision. Peters joined Senate Democrats in voting no as cloture failed 53-47, short of the 60 votes required.

“Aren’t these basic common-sense principles that most Americans support?” Alison asked.

Peters did not answer the question before leaving for what an aide said was a constituent meeting.

“So you can’t answer to the American people?”
