President Trump Moves to Strengthen Election Security as States Face Major Voting System Overhaul

Following President Trump’s executive order on election integrity, South Dakota passed 20 bills to strengthen voter registration laws, require citizenship verification on driver’s licenses, and tighten overall election procedures.

The EO mandates a full review of all voting machines across the country. States will be required to decertify non-compliant machines and update their systems to meet new security requirements.

This is a major step toward restoring public trust in elections and ensuring accountability at every level.
