President Donald Trump announced on Friday that his administration has found thousands of children who went missing during Biden’s open border chaos, with more rescues on the horizon.
“Something you haven’t reported, as you know, 300,000 children are missing…under Biden. We’ve already gotten back 10,000 of those children. And we have a lot more planned to get back,” Trump told reporters just outside the White House.
In 2024, a report from the U.S. Inspector General revealed that over 365,000 unaccompanied minors were transferred to the HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement between 2021 and 2023, and more than 290,000 of those minors were not required to appear in immigration court.
Last year, President Trump said 325,000 migrant children were “missing” due to open border policies.
“In other words, take your biggest stadium and you could fill it up five or six times – those are all missing children,” he remarked in September 2024.
Border Czar Tom Homan addressed the rescue of these minors on Fox News this week.
“We’re looking for over 300,000 missing children. We’ve already found 10,000,” he said. “Have you heard that anywhere? No, the media’s simply not covering it. Look, this should be a non-partisan issue.”
He added, “We’re rescuing thousands of children.”
As ICE raids are used by Democrats like California Governor Gavin Newsom as political tools to sow dissension, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott pointed out the gritty reality: juveniles are sometimes being used for child labor.
“Here’s some breaking news: 10 juveniles were found at this marijuana facility – all illegal aliens, 8 of them unaccompanied. It’s now under investigation for child labor violations. This is Newsom’s California,” Scott said on X, responding to Newsom’s criticism of the Trump administration and ongoing ICE raids.
