Charlie Kirk will always be with us, but we must relentlessly pursue truth and justice
Charlie Kirk’s horrifying assassination has shaken the nation, and as a suspect has been identified, it’s critical to understand the motives behind this heinous act of violence

On Friday, law enforcement officials announced the arrest of an individual linked to the horrifying assassination of Charlie Kirk, a beloved champion of peaceful civic discourse and the well-known president of Turning Point USA.
Kirk was highly respected by all – even by his political enemies – and was incredibly important in both the 2020 and 2024 elections, mobilizing the American youth to vote conservative in key battleground states like Arizona.
Kirk’s sudden and brutal death has shaken the entire country to its core. Kirk’s life was taken while he was peacefully conversing with college students at Utah Valley University, and it’s the sheer savagery of such an end that has rent the nation’s heart in two, drawing tears from his friends and family, and sparking an outpouring of empathy from people around the world.
Not since the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. has there been such a brokenhearted spirit among Americans – a heavy sadness that permeates the day-to-day, propagated by the gritty reality that human depravity, this week, was on full display.
Kirk’s legacy will be legendary. He died doing what he loved, but he also died in the midst of raucous success. He was revitalizing the American youth, pushing back against the extreme and radical agendas of the far-left – and he was winning. We all were.
The culture wars have been shifting for the past few months, and Charlie Kirk – brave champion of Christian faith and liberty that he was – fearlessly led the charge.
It is no wonder that Satan himself shrank away from the good and faithful work Kirk was doing, and that evil forces convened to remove this soldier of Christ’s army from the face of the earth.
But Kirk’s work was not in vain – not at all. His message and his vision for America will be more meaningful than ever.
The suspect was radicalized by something
With the arrest of a suspect in the assassination of Kirk, many questions have arisen about how this tragedy could have possibly taken place.
The suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, is a 22-year-old Utah native. As reported by LindellTV, Robinson was turned in by his father. According to officials, those acquainted with Robinson said that the suspect had become increasingly “more political over the years.”
He is expected to be formally charged with aggravated murder, along with other charges, next week. An aggravated murder charge in the state of Utah will make him eligible for the death penalty.
In a press briefing on Friday, officials also revealed that Robinson appeared to be discussing the alleged murder weapon used to kill Kirk – a high-powered rifle – in a chat on Discord, although the company disputes the claim that the chat on their platform was used to plan or incite violence in any way.
Regardless, if Robinson was talking to anyone else about his plans to assassinate Kirk, those unidentified entities must be found and questioned.
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) has stated that he believes Robinson acted “alone,” but most people on social media aren’t buying it.
It seems highly unlikely that Robinson, who by all accounts seems like a recently radicalized leftist, coordinated such a complex assassination plot alone. In fact, Robinson was able to evade law enforcement for quite some time – and was only brought to justice because he was turned in by his own family.
Would the FBI – or anyone else, for that matter – have been able to locate this suspect if the family hadn’t done the right thing and turned Robinson over to authorities?
Why was the FBI unable to find Robinson quickly? Where did Robinson get the rifle, and how did he pay for it? Why were his unfired casings inscribed with anti-Fascist ideological catchphrases? It seems increasingly likely that he was radicalized by a third-party source, although this has not been confirmed.
Is it possible that Robinson acted alone, as Gov. Cox believes? Of course it is. But something doesn’t add up. People don’t just become assassins overnight.
David Hookstead of Outkick commented on X, “Tyler Robinson had a 4.0 GPA, an ACT score in the top 1% of America, traveled the world with his parents and appeared incredibly happier in his younger years. Something changed. Something melted his brain. Something radicalized him. We need answers, and we need them now.”
Mike Cernovich, well-known for his political commentary, also noted, “Open source the discord servers, @FBIDirectorKash. Make them public and let people do some actual work, because the FBI couldn’t even find the killer. (Assuming they tried.) Trust is less than ZERO. We all know there was a terror cell, and the FBI is covering it up.”
Cernovich’s claim, of course, is not provable at this point, but it’s a great reflection of how distrusting many Americans are in this case: people don’t generally seem to believe that Robinson acted alone, and they don’t think that the FBI is giving the public a comprehensive story.
Will the whole story come out?
It’s hard to say what information may come out in the coming days and weeks about this 22-year-old who is accused of killing the legendary Charlie Kirk.
Perhaps Robinson really was a lone wolf who acted out of intense hatred toward a man who did nothing but sow seeds of love and peace everywhere he went. Perhaps Robinson simply is a singular, and now neutralized, threat.
But if there is more to the story, it needs to come out. Americans don’t trust the intelligence institutions in this country – and for good reason. They were lied to for many years about the assassinations of great American heroes like President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.
Kirk was so beloved by so many that anything less than pure, crystal-clear transparency about this assassination would be a disservice to his memory. Justice is justice only when it is fully served.
Charlie Kirk is with Jesus now, and for those who are left behind on earth, a good start in achieving that justice is to ensure that all the answers needed to clear up questions surrounding this heinous assassination are presented to the American public as soon as possible.
