HE WANTS TO SURVEIL ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS… YET HE DOESN’T WANT TO BE SURVEILLED HIMSELF.”
@RepKeithSelf is sounding the alarm over Flock cameras, saying that while there are legitimate law-enforcement uses, there are also real instances of abuse, along with serious privacy and Fourth Amendment violations.
Self pointed to a Flock VP reportedly going into a children’s museum to make a sales pitch:
“Who goes into a child’s gymnasium to make a sales pitch? That’s a little bit creepy.”
Meanwhile, Flock CEO Garrett Langley says Americans need to “compromise” in the surveillance debate, while reportedly opting to keep his own home off Google Maps.
“He wants to surveil all American citizens, and yet he doesn’t want to be surveilled himself.”
Self says it speaks to a larger double standard:
“The elites want to run America. They just don’t want to abide by the same laws and the same restrictions that Americans do.”
