Trump: “I’m not happy with Israel”
By Easton Martin
Speaking to reporters before boarding Marine One on Tuesday morning, President Trump addressed rising tensions between Israel and Iran following reports that both sides have violated the recent ceasefire agreement.
Trump confirmed that Iran had breached the deal, but saved his strongest criticism for Israel.
“Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and dropped a load of bombs the likes of which I’ve never seen before, the biggest load that we’ve seen. I’m not happy with Israel.”
The president, who has worked to be a broker between the two nations, appears to be running out of patience for them:
“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so hard and so long, that they don’t know what the f*** they’re doing,” Trump said.
The comments mark a rare public rebuke of Israel by Trump, who has typically been a staunch ally of Prime Minister Netanyahu.
The president posted a warning to Israel on Truth Social early Tuesday morning.
