“It’s Time to Fix Our Elections”
At the NRCC dinner, President Trump called for sweeping election reforms, blasting current voting machines and urging a return to paper ballots, same-day voting, voter ID, and proof of citizenship.
“You can run an election at 8% the cost of the machines — and get an accurate count. What are Republican governors waiting for?”
President Trump also took aim at extended election periods, warning they create opportunities for manipulation and chaos.
“Move the boxes out, paint the room, move them back in — but now half the number. It’s sick.”
He urged lawmakers to introduce a bill demanding one-day, secure elections, saying:
“Who could be against that?”
