On State of the Union Day, Rep. Chip Roy joined @alisonintheknow to demand action on the SAVE America Act = requiring voter ID and proof of citizenship to vote.
@chiproytx says the House has done its job. Now it’s sitting in the Senate.
His message?
Force a real, old-school filibuster.
“Make them go to the floor and explain why they oppose voter ID.”
Roy says there’s no need to change Senate rules – just make lawmakers actually debate it in front of the American people.
No more hiding behind procedural games.
It’s time to fight.
