ON THE STREETS OUTSIDE THE WHITE HOUSE – What do Americans REALLY think about @POTUS federalizing D.C.?

@CaraCastronuova spoke with residents and visitors after @realDonaldTrump federalized the D.C. police to tackle violent crime and homelessness in our nation’s capital.

Many praised the move as long overdue, pointing to rising violence, open-air drug use, and unsafe streets. Others admitted D.C. has a crime problem but doubted the takeover would last.

One resident told us, “I was mugged in my neighborhood, but I don’t think federalizing is the best way to go.”

Another man, known as the Truth Conductor, urged unity: “Stop hating each other because you disagree.”

And one longtime Washingtonian predicted, “By the end of the month it’ll be back to normal.”

Whether hopeful, skeptical, or just fed up – D.C. has plenty to say about this historic takeover.
