RAINN WILSON ON AMERICA’S DIVIDE: “I THINK THERE IS HOPE.”

Actor Rainn Wilson was on Capitol Hill for a bipartisan event focused on bringing Americans together ahead of America’s 250th anniversary.

When asked by our reporter, @alisonintheknow, about the deep political division facing the country, Wilson expressed optimism about the future – but made it clear he wasn’t interested in what he called “gotcha journalism.”

“I’m here to try and help bring people together, so I don’t want to talk about the gotcha journalism that is making our country a little worse.”

When pressed on whether there is still hope to unite the country, Wilson responded:

“I think there is hope, yes.”
