RALPH NORMAN DOESN’T HOLD BACK: POTUS’S ENDORSEMENT, HIS SENATE LOSS AND CONGRESS LEAVING D.C.
@RepRalphNorman spoke with @alisonintheknow about his Senate primary loss, saying he was “shocked” by President Trump’s endorsement decision and arguing Trump had “teamed up with the establishment” against him.
“Ronald Reagan would have never done this. Ronald Reagan would not have fractured the party like Donald Trump has done.”
Norman then turned to Congress leaving Washington ahead of the midterms, saying lawmakers should be staying to work and pushing the SAVE America Act.
“We don’t need to go home. Now, if we go home, we don’t need to get paid.”
And on the hundreds of House-passed bills awaiting Senate action:
“We ought to be doing our job, but we’re not.”
