Shri Thanedar’s horrific disregard of life: First the dogs, now the children
By Easton Martin | April 29, 2026
A disturbing pattern of indifference defines the public record of Representative Shri Thanedar. Most recently, he dismissed the moral gravity of abortion by labeling a fetus as a “half-ounce entity devoid of consciousness”. His words reflect a cold and utterly sick view of life that prioritizes political convenience over the protection of the innocent.

This attitude is unfortunately consistent with his past business practices. In 2010, more than 170 beagles and monkeys were rescued from a New Jersey lab owned by Thanedar after the facility was abandoned following a bankruptcy. The animals were left in neglectful conditions, a fact that sparked widespread accusations of cruelty.Though he attempted to shift the blame to his creditors, the incident remains a dark stain on his reputation. It reveals a man who treats living creatures as disposable assets when they no longer serve his financial interests.
Now he applies that same logic to the unborn. He reduces a human life to its physical weight or its level of self-awareness to strip away its right to exist. This consistent lack of regard for life, whether in a laboratory or a clinic, is a profound moral failure. A leader who sees no value in the most defenseless beings is unfit to represent the conscience of the people.
How long will we elect representatives who advocate for the murder of their constituents? How long will we tolerate the evils of those like Shri Thanedar who openly celebrate the horrific mutilation of pre-born children?
