POTUS calls for a ‘special prosecutor’ to investigate 2020 election
The president called for a special prosecutor to look into ‘MASSIVE and OVERWHELMING’ evidence of ‘fraud’ he alleges took place during the 2020 election

President Donald Trump on Friday called for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the 2020 presidential election, calling it a “total FRAUD” and noting that the chaos of 2020 must never be allowed to happen again.
The president’s comments were related to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s latest report, revealing that in May 2025, under Trump’s leadership, there were “zero illegal aliens” released into the United States.
This presents a sharp contrast to Joe Biden’s leadership just one year earlier, where over 60,000 illegals were allowed to enter the domestic U.S. in May 2024.
On Friday, Trump called Biden “grossly incompetent” and alleged that the 2020 election was fraudulent. “The evidence is MASSIVE and OVERWHELMING,” he wrote.
“A Special Prosecutor must be appointed. This cannot be allowed to happen again in the United States of America!” he added.
In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, public scrutiny related to the safety and security of American elections has heightened.
Just before the 2024 election, for example, only 28 percent of Republicans had “faith in the accuracy of the election results,” according to a survey from Gallup.
And, according to a late 2024 survey from the Pew Research Center, nearly 60 percent of Americans were then “dissatisfied with the way democracy is working in the United States.”
President Donald Trump certainly amplified concerns about election processes in America in the aftermath of 2020, strongly alleging many times that the presidential election had been “rigged” and “stolen.”
In his current statements on Truth Social, President Trump’s call for a special prosecutor also included a swipe at Joe Biden his four years of chaotic leadership.
“Let the work begin!” Trump wrote. “What this Crooked man, and his CORRUPT CRONIES, have done to our Country in 4 years, is grossly indescribable! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
