Trump takes afternoon stroll on White House roof

President Trump surprised staff and onlookers Tuesday evening by taking a walk on the roof of the West Wing, turning what could have been an ordinary evening into a moment of humor and curiosity. The president spent about 20 minutes pacing along the rooftop, at times looking out toward the Washington Monument and chatting with aides below.
White House officials said the president’s stroll was unscheduled but suggested he may have been inspecting the area ahead of planned renovations to the West Wing.
At one point, reporters asked Trump if he was going to build something up there, to which he responded, “something beautiful”. Another reporter also asked what Trump was intending to build, “nuclear missiles”, he shouted, gesturing with his arm and drawing laughter from the group on the ground.
While many saw this as a lighthearted moment, others on the left have started to theorize that there is something more at play, suggesting that his roof stroll was just a distraction.
