Vice President J.D. Vance predicted a rosy – and golden – future for America as the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ heads to President Trump’s desk

Vice President J.D. Vance on Friday looked to the future, foreshadowing a “Golden Age” on the horizon as President Trump’s championed “One Big Beautiful Bill” is set to be signed into law.
While speaking with reporters, Vance remarked, “I think when people realize how much this benefits…the people of the United States, this bill’s going to be very popular. We’re going to look back on this, I really do think, as the beginning of the Golden Age of the United States of America.”
The president’s bill passed the House of Representatives on Thursday, marking a big victory for Trump’s agenda, delivering on promised items like massive tax cuts and significant codified funding for border security and deportation operations.
“Remember, it’s not just the bill,” the vice president continued. “It’s all of the Trump administration policies that form a coherent whole, where we’re trying to make it easier to invest and build in the United States of America, [and] we’re trying to make it harder to invest outside the United States of America. We want to build a future for our own people.”
The OBBB, alongside energy policies and tariff policies, is a sign that the country is headed in the “right direction,” Vance explained.
“Producing more energy, building a future for our people, making it easier to save and invest in the United States of America,” he continued. “We’re going to look back at this, I think, as an inflection point where, for too long, America has been going in the wrong direction, now we’re going in the right direction.”
He remarked that “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” but reiterated his belief that “a lot of great progress” will be kick-started very quickly with the signing of the legislation on Friday.
The vice president’s comments echo President Trump’s, hinting at a burgeoning future for America.
“The people of the United States of America will be Richer, Safer, and Prouder than ever before,” Trump said on Thursday. “…Together, we can do things that were not even imagined possible less than one year ago. We will keep working, and winning — CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA!”
