Whip Katherine Clark Dodges on “Illegal Aliens” – Then Admits They’re Not

LindelLTV’s @alisonintheknow just confronted @WhipKClark on her ATTACKS against “MAGA extremists” and border enforcement. Alison Steinberg pressed Clark on how securing the border and ending mass illegal immigration supposedly “kneecaps” the economy.

@WhipClark immediately defended keeping Haitian TPS holders here indefinitely, claiming America’s construction, farming, and nursing homes can’t function without them – pointing to TPS holders, who make up 15% of the non-citizen healthcare workforce – while admitting conditions in Haiti are so bad Americans can’t even travel there.

Then the exchange turned:
Steinberg: It’s temporary status. They’ve been here indefinitely.

Clark: What are the conditions in Haiti? Americans aren’t even allowed to travel there.

Steinberg: But these are illegal aliens.

Clark: What’s illegal about TPS? Nothing.

Steinberg: They need to go back – it’s a temporary order.

Democrats can’t explain why “temporary” doesn’t mean temporary. This is exactly why voters are demanding real border security and an end to endless temporary protections that become permanent. #confront
