Will ‘Radical Left’ courts stop Trump’s tariff policies?
President Trump warned this week that a ‘Great Depression’ could be sparked by poor decisions from ‘Radical Left’ courts

President Donald Trump warned on Friday that “Radical Left” courts risked sparking a “Great Depression” if they were to rule against his record-setting tariff policies.
“If a Radical Left Court ruled against us at this late date, in an attempt to bring down or disturb the largest amount of money, wealth creation and influence the U.S.A. has ever seen, it would be impossible to ever recover, or pay back, these massive sums of money and honor,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
His comments come after a federal appeals court last week heard arguments in the administration’s appeal of a ruling in a lower court that claimed the president doesn’t have the authority to implement tariffs, per CBS.
The back-and-forth court battles over the legality of tariff implementation have been ongoing in the courts.
Since implementing his tariff policies, Trump has generated a substantial $150 billion in customs revenue for the United States, with $29 billion of that amount coming into the country in July alone, Fox News reported.
The president described this influx of cash as having a “huge positive impact on the Stock Market” and talked about the dangers of suddenly putting a halt to this money flow with court orders.
“If they were going to rule against the wealth, strength, and power of America, they should have done so LONG AGO, at the beginning of the case, where our entire Country, while never having a chance at this kind of GREATNESS again, would not have been put in 1929 style jeopardy,” he said.
Trump said such a decision would be a “judicial tragedy.”
“Our Country deserves SUCCESS AND GREATNESS, NOT TURMOIL, FAILURE, AND DISGRACE,” he said.
Should the Trump administration receive an unfavorable ruling on the issue of tariffs, it is almost certain that the decision would be appealed to the Supreme Court.
