Zohran Mamdani’s plan to end the lives of New Yorkers (yes, really)

Let us start with a basic truth: abortion is murder because it ends the life of an innocent human being. Every unborn baby is a human being, a fact that is true because of its very nature. This fact cannot be erased by the size, location, or level of dependency of the child. A human is a human and deserves to live. That reality is why New Yorkers should be deeply alarmed by the agenda laid out by newly elected Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Mamdani has released a policy agenda called Trump-Proofing NYC which includes major expansions of abortion access while targeting pregnancy care centers. These centers offer real help to women who choose life through counseling, medical support, baby supplies, and hope. Instead of supporting these compassionate efforts, Mamdani intends to strengthen Local Law 17 to force these centers to post large disclaimers listing everything they do not provide, including abortion, and potentially require them to hand out referrals to abortion businesses. Pro-life leaders warn that this is an attempt to choke out and punish centers that exist to protect life.
At the same time, Mamdani wants to double funding for the city’s abortion access programs. He plans to pour millions into abortion coordination and financial assistance that will make New York an even more aggressive destination for ending pregnancies. The result is more abortions, more destroyed families, and more children who will never be given the chance to take their first breath.
Abortion isn’t truly about healthcare, nor is it about protecting women. A healthy society protects life, especially the most vulnerable who cannot speak for themselves. If New York gives up on this principle, then innocent lives will be extinguished not because they lacked value, but because leaders refused to defend them.
