🚨 After calling the SAVE Act “Jim Crow,” Schumer REFUSES to answer questions.
As @SenSchumer walked away from an ICE reform press gaggle, our reporter asked him to explain his past claim that the SAVE Act is “Jim Crow.”
She pressed him on a simple question: how is requiring ID to vote different from requiring ID to drive, buy alcohol, or conduct business at the DMV and whether the Senate should restore the standing filibuster.
@ChuckSchumer offered no response.
He avoided eye contact, glanced at the camera, and walked off without answering a single question.
He certainly had strong words for the cameras just days ago… but when asked to explain them, suddenly there was nothing to say! #confront
