🚨 FROM TRAGEDY TO CHANGE: MICHELLE PETERSON IS FIGHTING TO STOP CHILD GROOMERS
At the America’s Future 250 event, LindellTV’s @CaraCastronuova caught up with child advocate Michelle Peterson, whose personal fight for justice helped change the law.
After discovering that her 15-year-old son had been groomed by his 34-year-old teacher and baseball coach, Peterson uncovered more than 6,000 text messages that ultimately led to what she says was the first unlawful grooming conviction in U.S. history.
But she didn’t stop there.
✅ Helped pass Florida’s first grooming law in 2024.
✅ Has worked to expand grooming laws to 15 states.
✅ Now pushing Andrew’s Law, which would:
– Ban plea deals for those charged with grooming children.
– Require lifetime sex offender registration for convicted groomers.
– Expand protections to places where children gather, including venues like Dave & Buster’s and Chuck E. Cheese.
“One in six boys will be sexually abused before they’re 18 and we don’t talk about it enough.”
@michellepete77’s message is clear: Protect children before abuse happens not after. Parents, educators, and lawmakers all have a role to play in recognizing the warning signs of grooming and holding predators accountable.
