Trump responds to creation of Musk’s third-party platform: ‘DISRUPTION & CHAOS’
Musk’s creation of an ‘America Party’ has sparked debate among voters about whether the ironclad two-party system can truly be broken

President Donald Trump weighed in on the political rumblings of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk over the weekend, describing the situation as a “TRAIN WRECK” amid the tech innovators’ attempt so subvert Republican voting power.
“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks. He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States – The System seems not designed for them,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Following the passage and signing of Trump’s championed legislation, “The One Big Beautiful Bill,” Musk – once a close ally to Trump – announced that he would form a third political party to counter the “Uniparty” of the Republican and Democrat system.
Musk explained on X, “By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it! When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.”
Since departing from the Trump administration, Musk and Trump have publicly feuded several times, mostly stemming from Musk’s opposition to the OBBB. As reported by LindellTV, Musk described the legislation as “outrageous” and “pork-filled.”
His creation of the “America Party” is his way of pushing back on both President Trump and the Republican Party.
However, Trump highlighted the dangers of a third-party platform in American politics.
“The one thing Third Parties are good for is the creation of Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS, and we have enough of that with the Radical Left Democrats, who have lost their confidence and their minds!” Trump wrote.
He added, “Republicans, on the other hand, are a smooth running ‘machine,’ that just passed the biggest Bill of its kind in the History of our Country.”
Trump suggested in his statement – as he has in the past – that Musk is upset over the termination of the electric vehicle mandate, which would have clearly benefited Tesla’s electric car manufacturing production.
“I have campaigned on this for two years and, quite honestly, when Elon gave me his total and unquestioned Endorsement, I asked him whether or not he knew that I was going to terminate the EV Mandate – It was in every speech I made, and in every conversation I had. He said he had no problems with that – I was very surprised!” Trump pointed out.
