Twenty-five years after the Pentagon was struck, the flag rose over that same wall again.

@POTUS joined @SecWar and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Kane Friday to honor the 184 lives lost there on 9/11 – 125 inside the building, 59 aboard Flight 77.

“2,977 beautiful souls were ripped from our world,” POTUS said. “We renew the sacred oath we first swore in their names. We will never, ever forget.”

Hegseth on what the attacks couldn’t break: “Their attacks inspired millions to step forward instead and say send me… A generation of sacrifice, of valor, selfless and steadfast.”

Outside the rebuilt impact site, 184 memorial benches now stand – one for every life lost.

Twenty-five years later, the promise is the same: Never forget.
