Exclusive: Alison Steinberg on confronting Nancy Pelosi
By Easton Martin | October 16, 2025
In the wake of Nancy Pelosi’s bizarre, viral outburst yesterday, captured when the Speaker Emerita furiously told LindellTV correspondent Alison Steinberg to “shut up,” I got to hear directly from the journalist who asked the question that triggered the incident.
Steinberg’s simple inquiry about National Guard deployment on January 6th set off a defensive fury from Pelosi, who then tried to discredit the reporter as a non-serious mouthpiece for “Republican talking points.”
Q: Were you surprised that Nancy Pelosi reacted so intensely to your question?
Alison: “I was completely taken aback, as all I did was ask a couple of fair—and easy—questions that much of America wants answers to. To have a finger aggressively pointed so close to me by one of the most powerful figures in Congress and to be told to ‘SHUT UP’ lets me know she was triggered, threatened, and obviously seriously worried.”
Q: Pelosi questioned your identity as a “serious journalist.” Do you think it’s fair for her to question your role as a journalist just because you asked her a tough question?
Alison: “Absolutely, it was not fair to say I was not a serious journalist. She even accused me of spouting ‘Republican talking points.’ At LindellTV, we don’t receive talking points. I believe she reacted the way she did because she is used to softball questions from liberal-friendly media outlets and has never been confronted with the truth.”
Q: A lot of people loved that after Pelosi yelled at you, you turned around to the camera and smiled. What were you thinking in that moment?
Alison: “It was a natural, organic expression when I realized I had captured a true Pelosi meltdown in real time. I knew I’d miraculously hit the jackpot!”
Q: Nancy admitted on video that she takes responsibility for the lack of National Guard troops at the Capitol on January 6th. Doesn’t that negate her claim of this being a ‘Republican talking point’?
Alison: “Of course it does! It is a classic example of denial and deflection when one knows the truth is about to come out.”
Q: What do you want people to know about your journalistic efforts and those of the network?
Alison: “We are a team of dedicated journalists who are working tirelessly to get the truth out with all odds stacked against us. For far too long, American media has been dominated by large corporations—far from the people. LindellTV is committed to journalism, truth, and faith in Jesus, and we will be successful in speaking truth to power.”
