Breaking News: Mystery Surrounds Disappearance of 4 U.S Army Soldiers
According to reports, the Lithuanian Armed Forces received information about four missing U.S. Army soldiers at approximately 4:45 PM on March 25. The soldiers were reported missing in a training zone near the Lithuanian city of Pabrade.
In a statement on Wednesday, U.S. Army Europe and Africa announced that the M88 armored recovery vehicle operated by the four soldiers had been discovered submerged in a body of water. The soldiers, belonging to the 1st Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division, were participating in a planned tactical exercise when the incident occurred. There has been no indication that the soldiers have been found, as search and rescue operations continue.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte initially stated during a trip to Warsaw that the soldiers had died. However, he later clarified his comments, saying, “This is still early news, so we do not know the details. This is really terrible news, and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones.”
