Details on the CIA drone strike on Venezuela

U.S. officials confirm that a CIA-operated drone carried out a strike on a coastal port facility in Venezuela, marking the first known U.S. attack on Venezuelan soil.
The target was a remote dock on Venezuela’s coast that U.S. intelligence believed was being used by the Tren de Aragua gang to store narcotics and load them onto boats for trafficking. The strike took place earlier in the month; no casualties were reported because the facility was empty at the time.
The dock and associated infrastructure were destroyed, though analysts say similar sites exist along the coast. President Trump publicly acknowledged a U.S. strike on a “drug-loading dock area” but provided limited operational details. Venezuela’s government has not independently confirmed the incident yet.
