Day 2 of Coomer v. Lindell began with heated allegations

Coomer’s attorney opened by allegedly quoting Mike Lindell, saying: “You are disgusting. You are a traitor to the United States of America.” He framed Coomer as a respected Colorado resident and former Dominion executive, claiming Lindell and others were “key instigators” of defamation and harm.

But Lindell’s defense pushed back hard, calling Coomer the “chief instigator.” His attorney told the jury that Coomer had already sued 25 others before Lindell, and allegedly texted his brother: “It’s time to shake the money tree — including the pillow man Lindell.”

Lindell’s legal team says this trial is about far more than personal attacks — it’s about the First Amendment and whether Americans can still speak freely about elections and public concerns.

“Whatever the jury decides will shape the future of free speech in this country,” his attorney concluded.
