James Carville lays out the Democratic party’s strategy if they get back into power

Democratic strategist James Carville has proposed a series of significant structural changes to the American government in a recent appearance on the Politicon podcast network.
According to a summary of the remarks, the veteran consultant argued that the party must prioritize the admission of Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico as states to secure four additional seats in the United States Senate.
The moves suggested by Carville represent exactly what the Democratic party wants to do when they regain power.
This move would potentially create a durable majority for the Democratic caucus that could last for generations. Carville also suggested that the party should pack the United States Supreme Court from nine to thirteen justices to allow for the appointment of four additional progressive jurists. This expansion would effectively counteract the current conservative majority and reshape federal jurisprudence to align with the party’s long-term legislative goals.
The strategy involves a dramatic shift in immigration policy, specifically through the reopening of the southern border and the granting of mass amnesty to all individuals currently residing in the country without legal status. Carville advised politicians to avoid making these specific goals central to their campaigns or public messaging and instead suggested that the party should focus on implementing these changes immediately upon regaining full control of the federal government.
