A statue of the late Charlie Kirk was erected last week at Turning Point USA’s headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. Just days later, a vandal defaced the statue and the message inscribed on a nearby sign.

Turning Point USA is not backing down after a vandal defaced a newly unveiled statue of the late conservative activist and Christian visionary.
The statue, which was recently erected as part of a commemoration marking the first anniversary of Kirk’s assassination, was vandalized just three days after its initial unveiling.
“We will restore the statue and replace the signs, but we are also reviewing the footage of the incident and are working with law enforcement to identify who did this and hold them accountable,” TPUSA said in an official statement.
The statue has since been cleaned up.
On September 10, 2025, Kirk was assassinated while speaking at a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University. His death was shocking, and the organization he led has done its best to carry on Kirk’s legacy in the wake of his sudden passing.
“Charlie once said we should be building two statues for every statue that they tear down,” Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow and now CEO of TPUSA, said in a statement.
She continued, “His instinct was always to build, not to destroy. They thought a bullet would silence my husband’s voice but it only made it louder. They think spray paint can obscure his legacy, but it will only spread it further. Every attempt to tear down what Charlie built makes us root deeper and work even harder.”
According to photos shared by TPUSA, the vandals crossed out the name of “Jesus” on a memorial sign placed near Kirk’s statue. They also spray-painted the statue’s face, neck, and hands red. It also appeared that the perpetrator wrote the name “SATAN” over the Lord’s name on the sign.
“…And if you think crossing out the name of Jesus Christ will silence Christians, history has already proved you wrong,” Mrs. Kirk said in her statement. “We know what it costs to stand firm for Christ and we will stand anyway. God will not be mocked. We’ll put His name right back where it belongs, clean up the mess, restore Charlie’s statue, and keep building.”
The individual behind the act of vandalism has not yet been identified.
Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for TPUSA and the executive producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” indicated on Monday that the organization was still working with law enforcement to identify the perpetrator. “We want these people arrested,” he said on X.
