POTUS reacts to alleged video of Alex Pretti screaming at feds, spitting on vehicle
The video surfaced online following Pretti’s fatal shooting during an altercation with federal law enforcement, prompting debate on his intentions toward officers

In the wake of the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti, the city of Minneapolis has become a hotbed for rioting and protests against federal law enforcement, but a newly surfaced video of the former ICU nurse seems to show a different side of the story.
“Agitator and, perhaps, insurrectionist, Alex Pretti’s stock has gone way down with the just released video of him screaming and spitting in the face of a very calm and under control ICE Officer, and then crazily kicking in a new and very expensive government vehicle, so hard and violent, in fact, that the taillight broke off in pieces,” President Trump wrote on Friday on Truth Social.
The video appears to show Pretti allegedly going after federal law enforcement roughly a week before his death. He is seen screaming at law enforcement vehicles as they pass by, spitting on an SUV, and even kicking out the taillight of one vehicle and shattering the glass.
He allegedly shouted, “Assault me, mother******,” and “F*** you guys!”
At one point, a federal officer exited the vehicle and approached Pretti, shoving him away.
If the footage is indeed authentic, it would prove that Pretti was at least a known entity to law enforcement and that his last interaction with agents was certainly not the first time he had attempted to interfere with enforcement operations in the city.
“It was quite a display of abuse and anger, for all to see, crazed and out of control,” the president observed. “The ICE Officer was calm and cool, not an easy thing to be under those circumstances! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
The contentious situation on the ground in Minneapolis has prompted a leadership shakeup from the Trump administration. This week, President Trump ordered Border Czar Tom Homan to deploy to the embattled city and take control of ICE operations.
Pretti’s death is the second civilian shooting in the city since enforcement began. The first incident was the shooting of Renee Good, a 37-year-old woman caught on video agitating law enforcement. She was fatally shot when she accelerated her SUV toward an officer.
On Thursday, Homan told the press that a “drawdown” of federal resources in the city would not commence until state and local officials demonstrated consistent cooperation with immigration enforcement operations.
