POTUS says latest Iran proposal is ‘GARBAGE’
President Donald Trump had nothing nice to say about Iran’s latest proposal amid a ceasefire that the president said was on ‘life support’

President Donald Trump received a response from Iranian representatives this weekend, and on Monday, he described the regime’s proposal as “unbelievably weak.”
During remarks in the Oval Office, President Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with Iran’s proposed terms amid ongoing negotiations, during an extremely fragile ceasefire.
“I would call it the weakest right now after reading that piece of garbage they sent us,” the president said. “I didn’t even finish reading it. I said, ‘I’m not going to waste my time reading it.’”
The president said the ceasefire was on “massive life support.”
President Trump on Sunday had already strongly expressed his views on Iran’s proposal, calling it “COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.”
During his comments on Monday to reporters, President Trump said Iran has told him that only the United States or China is capable of removing “nuclear dust” from the bowels of the Middle Eastern country.
“Nuclear dust” refers to enriched uranium.
“Iran told me very strongly they intend to give us the nuclear dust,” President Trump said.
He also noted that the sites where the enriched uranium is located – sites previously bombed by the U.S. military – are “so deep and got hit so hard that there’s no way they have the equipment to move it.”
The comments about China are interesting, given the president’s upcoming travel plans this week. He will visit China and discuss trade with President Xi Jinping amid the war with Iran. It remains to be seen if China will help bring the Middle East conflict to a resolution, but there have been some notably positive signs over the past few days.
China’s top diplomat, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, has strongly pressured Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
According to The New York Times, this position was communicated to Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during a meeting between the two representatives last week.
The United States’ ceasefire with Iran, which remains on “life support,” as President Trump noted, has technically been in effect since early April. Negotiations have been extremely difficult due to the internal leadership crisis in Iran amid the war.
