The “Weaponization” of the DOJ: A trend started by the Biden Administration

In the wake of former FBI director James Comey being indicted for lying to Congress, many are asking: is the President weaponizing the Justice Department? “He is just prosecuting his political enemies!” they say.
What the left is failing to realize is this: the Justice Department has already been weaponized. Under the Biden administration, it had been transformed to protect its power and persecute political opposition, a clear abandonment of impartial justice.
The evidence begins with the unprecedented August 2022 raid on Mar-a-Lago. This armed FBI assault on a former President’s home was a shocking display of political malice. It deliberately bypassed established procedures such as negotiation or subpoenas in favor of a dramatic show of force intended to humiliate President Trump.
That political persecution escalated with a barrage of election-timed indictments led by a specially appointed partisan prosecutor. These criminal charges are not about justice; they are a blatant attempt to interfere with the 2024 election by draining the resources and campaign time of the administration’s chief rival.
The DOJ has used novel and untested legal theories to criminalize political dissent and policy disputes. In doing so, it has turned the justice system into an enforcement arm for the Democrat Party’s survival. Step by step, federal law enforcement has been corrupted into a tool of political warfare.
So while the left wants to frame the prosecution of James Comey as “weaponization” or “unprecedented,” the truth is that it is not unprecedented at all. And if one insists on calling it weaponization, then they must admit that this process began long ago.
