President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made a rare joint appearance at a grand military parade in Beijing commemorating the 80th anniversary of World War II’s end. The event showcased China’s latest military hardware, including hypersonic missiles and a newly revealed intercontinental ballistic missile.
Xi framed the gathering as a display of strength and unity among nations challenging Western dominance. After the parade, Putin and Kim held private talks, during which Kim pledged to “do everything possible” to assist Russia amid its conflict in Ukraine.
U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized the event in a social media post, accusing Xi, Putin, and Kim of “conspiring against The United States of America.” He also questioned whether Xi would acknowledge the “massive amount of support and ‘blood’ that The United States of America gave to China” during World War II.
President Trump dismissed any concern over a unified front, asserting, “We have the strongest military in the world, by far. They would never use their military on us.”
The president’s message was made clear: The U.S. will not submit to a genocidal Communist country.
