Newly released “UFO files” have hit the internet, providing new footage of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).
The newly declassified files are the first of what lawmakers say will be continued tranches of information, focused on providing transparency on the age-old question: are we alone in the universe?
“In an effort for Complete and Maximum Transparency, it was my Honor to direct my Administration to identify and provide Government files related to Alien and Extraterrestrial Life, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and Unidentified Flying Objects,” President Donald Trump said in a statement posted to Truth Social.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who partly spearheaded the interagency effort to release these files, praised the president’s commitment to releasing the documents.
“These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves,” Hegseth stated. “This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration’s earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency.”
The files provide no pictures of little green men, but it does point to the presence of, at the very least, advanced celestial activity of some kind.
Included in the files are a diverse array of footage capturing these UAPs in the skies. The images are often grainy, shadowed, or hard to decipher.
One piece of footage in particular prompted intense speculation: a UAP, purportedly from 2013, resembling an eight-pointed star, with arms seemingly moving around it. Another image showed three UAPs visible above the surface of the moon during the Apollo 17 mission.
Declassified transcript information from the Apollo 11 crew also revealed Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins describing light-based, bizarre aerial objects during their journey to the moon while in space.
Another strange find from the files includes a sketch of a humanoid-type figure, along with a note: “Dear Sirs: Would you please comment on the enclosed picture…”
“The 1st drop will be big but in comparison to what is coming they will be a drop in the bucket. I would say ‘Holy Crap’ is coming,” claimed Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) on X.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) has said that a second document drop will be available within the next 30 days. “Further records, videos, imagery, and investigative materials will continue to be released on a rolling basis,” she stated.
