Mike Lindell responds to the Smartmatic indictment
By Easton Martin | October 21, 2025
In the wake of Smartmatic’s federal indictment on bribery charges, many are asking: is the tide starting to turn in favor of election integrity? Companies like Smartmatic and Dominion have spent the last few years on a crusade against anyone who dares to speak out about possible vulnerabilities or flaws in electronic voting machines, labeling such criticism as “defamation.” Recently, a Minnesota federal judge ruled in favor of Smartmatic in its case against Mike Lindell. U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Bryan stated that what must now be decided is whether Lindell acted with what he called “actual malice.” Smartmatic must prove that he did so to collect any damages.
In light of Smartmatic’s indictment, as well as their ongoing lawsuit against Mr. Lindell, I took the time to ask the MyPillow CEO for his thoughts on where he sees the fight for election integrity at this moment.
Question: CNN said that the indictment against Smartmatic could be “catastrophic” for them in their case against you. Do you feel like the tide is starting to turn against these companies?
Mike Lindell: “Absolutely. I’ve been saying for four and a half years that you can’t defame criminals. They already are what I said they were. They did exactly what I’ve been saying they did. The judge who ruled that I defamed them without evidence was completely wrong. Everything I had back then is what’s coming out now, the same things they are being criminally charged with. The judge saw all that.
So yes, the tide is turning. Their world is crumbling. You also have Dominion now selling to Liberty Vote, which is a joke, because Liberty Vote dropped their cases against everyone, including MyPillow and Rudy Giuliani, except me. I am the last one standing. They beat down everyone else, ruined some people, and got millions of dollars through corrupt settlements.
Right now, I think we are at a great moment in our country’s history. We are exposing these voting machine companies. But I want people to understand this is not just about Smartmatic or Dominion. All of these voting machine companies, including ES&S and Hart, need to be gone from the United States immediately.
You just had a top Smartmatic executive in Dallas County, Texas, a very corrupt guy, who quit two months ago and went straight to Hart Voting Machines. It is a monopoly of corruption, and our entire election system depends on it.
It has been four and a half years of the biggest attack ever on a company owned by its employees, MyPillow, but I think it was necessary to get to this point. Now we are finding out it is not just the companies but also corruption with some judges. There is no way a Minnesota judge could rule the way he did knowing all this information was already there.
And look at the timing. Just a week after that ruling, the indictments came out. They knew months ago this was coming. The timing is very suspicious. So yes, I think the tide is definitely turning.”
Question: Smartmatic dismissed the indictment as “political and targeted,” even though the case was brought by the Biden-era Justice Department. Do you think things will continue to get worse for them under the Trump-era Justice Department?
Mike Lindell: “Worse for Smartmatic? Yes, absolutely. There is much more evidence coming out against them. The bribery in the Philippines is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more to be revealed, and I know because I have spent millions over four and a half years investigating all of these machine companies and the corruption in our elections.
There is a reason 132 countries have banned electronic voting machines. Smartmatic and Dominion should be the ones paying restitution to the people and companies they went after, and even to those they quietly settled with. They should be tried and held accountable for their crimes against individuals, against the United States, and against humanity. It is disgusting what they have done and what they have tried to do.
We have uncovered the biggest cover-up of the biggest crime in history, and we are finally breaking through it. Now you are seeing the crimes themselves being exposed. This is a great day for America.
More importantly, I hope this wakes up the media, Fox News, Newsmax, everyone, to start reporting the truth. This could be the turning point that gets us back to paper ballots, hand-counted. It does not matter what party you are in. The public needs to understand that if we keep using electronic voting machines, we are going to lose our country for good.”
