Bible sales are up dramatically since Charlie Kirk was assassinated

Sales of Bibles in the United States increased significantly following the killing of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. Data from Circana BookScan shows that approximately 2.4 million Bibles were sold in September 2025, a 36 percent increase compared with September 2024.
For the first nine months of 2025, Bible sales were up about 11 percent compared with the same period in 2024. Retailers and publishers reported that many buyers were purchasing a Bible for the first time in years or for the first time ever.
This data indicates that September saw a notable spike in Bible purchases compared with previous months and the same month last year. Many people have also noted anecdotally that church attendance seems to have increased in the wake of Kirk’s killing.
While Charlie Kirk’s assassination shocked the country, the response from those affected hasn’t been violence, but in fact, a great number of people turning to God.
