DoorDash driver delivers McDonald’s straight to the Oval Office
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to deliver fast food to the President of the United States, wonder no longer: one lucky driver has done exactly that!

On Monday, President Donald Trump received a very special delivery at the White House: his favorite fast-food meal.
The president is famously known for enjoying McDonald’s fast food, and this week, one special DoorDash delivery driver had the privilege of bringing bags of the fried food straight to the Oval Office, where President Trump received the order himself.
As part of a bit promoting his famous “No Tax on Tips” initiative, signed into law in last year’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” the president greeted a driver named Sharron, who purportedly kept $11,000 in tips last year, untaxed, thanks to the president’s policy.
“Nice to meet you!” she said, as the president opened the Oval Office door. “I have your DoorDash order for you, Mr. President.”
“This doesn’t look staged, does it?” the president quipped, taking the Golden Arch-adorned paper bags.
Sharron confirmed that she “saved over $11,000 by not having to claim.”
The president also spoke to reporters for a bit and touted the success of the OBBB.
“We should call it the Great Big Beautiful Tax Cut Bill,” he said. “…It’s pretty amazing.”
According to Thomson Reuters, the average tax refunds this year are up by over 11 percent from last year, with an average return of $3,521 for the American taxpayer, thanks to the OBBB’s new items, like no taxes on tips, Social Security, and overtime – as well as increases in the standard deduction and child credit deduction.
The tax refunds, for many Americans, come at a much-needed moment as oil prices have begun to spike amid the war with Iran. As of Monday morning, oil prices jumped to over $100 per barrel as the United States Navy moved to blockade the Strait of Hormuz and the conflict with Iran grinds onward.
