Horrifying: The extent of Canada’s “Physician assisted suicide” program
Canada now operates the fastest-growing state-sanctioned suicide regime on earth. Official Health Canada data reveals that lethal injections accounted for over five percent of all national deaths last year. More than 16,000 citizens ended their lives through the Medical Assistance in Dying program in 2024 alone.
That figure surpasses total annual firearm homicides in the United States. What began as an “exceptional measure” for the terminally ill has transformed into a sick bureaucratic death machine. Most people saw this coming from a mile away.
Canadian medical providers now administer lethal drugs to thousands of patients each month. Federal lawmakers created this crisis when they passed Bill C-7 in 2021. That statute eliminated the original legal requirement that a person’s natural death must be reasonably foreseeable. The legal shift established Track 2, opening the door for disabled citizens to request state termination. Over seven hundred individuals without terminal conditions received lethal doses under this provision last year.
Social workers and hospital staff routinely offer euthanasia to vulnerable Canadians facing poverty or housing shortages. Military veterans seeking basic disability assistance have faced unsolicited offers of state-sponsored death from federal caseworkers. Public hospitals in Ontario and British Columbia actively document organ harvesting protocols linked directly to assisted suicide appointments. Rather than repairing broken social services, the system dispatches doctors with lethal syringes.
The federal government recently postponed plans to offer euthanasia for psychiatric conditions until March 2027. Federal ministers yielded to public outrage over plans to authorize lethal injections for depression and addiction. The three-year delay preserves the underlying legal architecture. Canadian law already treats the destruction of human life as ordinary healthcare.
Faith-based hospices face funding cuts if their administrators refuse to perform lethal injections on their premises. Doctors who hold moral objections face professional discipline unless they refer vulnerable patients to willing providers. State statistics prove that routine euthanasia now defines the Canadian healthcare apparatus.
