Ilhan Omar gets upset when pressed about financials by LindellTV reporter

Rep. Ilhan Omar was involved in a heated confrontation yesterday, blowing up when asked by LindellTV reporter Alison Steinberg about her financial disclosure amendment.
The congresswoman was walking through a House office building when the reporter approached her. Steinberg asked the representative to explain how a $30 million discrepancy in her reported assets could be categorized as a simple mistake. Omar reacted with visible anger, chastising Steinberg saying, “I still think you’re stupid for asking me anything”. When pressed on the fact that she owes the American people answers as an elected representative, Omar said, “I don’t have to tell you Jack shit”.
The congresswoman’s office recently filed an amended financial disclosure to address a massive accounting error. This new filing shows her household assets are worth less than $100,000. Her previous report listed those same assets as being worth up to $30 million. A spokesperson for Omar stated that the initial numbers were the result of a professional accountant’s oversight. The error reportedly stemmed from failing to account for liabilities within her husband’s businesses.
Republican lawmakers are now calling for a formal investigation into the filing history.
House Oversight Committee members expressed skepticism regarding the scale of the correction, stating that a $30 million gap requires more than a voluntary amendment. President Trump also weighed in on the matter during a recent press conference, suggesting that the Department of Justice should review the congresswoman’s financial records.
