James O’Keefe sheds light on disturbing homeless vote harvesting scheme

In a newly released undercover investigation, James O’Keefe and his media group have revealed footage documenting a voter fraud scheme targeting homeless individuals in Los Angeles. The video, published Tuesday, shows operatives offering cash and various incentives to residents of the city’s Skid Row district in exchange for their mail-in ballots and signatures.
The investigation features several hidden camera clips where individuals appearing to work for local community organizations discuss the logistics of “harvesting” votes. In one exchange, an operative describes a system where homeless citizens receive small payments or goods after confirming they have completed their ballots according to specific instructions.
Los Angeles election officials have not yet released a formal statement regarding the specific allegations presented in the footage. However, a spokesperson for the County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office noted that all reports of potential election interference are taken seriously and referred to the District Attorney’s office for review.
The video has quickly gained traction on social media, continuing the scrutiny over the security of California’s universal mail-in ballot system. California’s lack of strict chain-of-custody requirements allows for the type of “ballot harvesting” that is uncovered in O’Keefe’s report.
