James Talarico exposes his hypocrisy (again)
By Easton Martin | March 19, 2026
James Talarico recently offered his perspective on what constitutes an insult to Jesus while responding to President Trump’s analysis of him.
Talarico, as a “progressive Christian”, often highlights certain aspects of Christ’s work, such as regard for the marginalized. This is an important part of the faith, but appears heavily distorted by a Marxist lens in his specific application.
Anyone who truly cares about the thoughts of Jesus must eventually wake up to the reality of his teachings. Talarico cannot claim to care for people while simultaneously supporting the destruction of the most defenseless lives.
The most vulnerable of all God’s creation are the unborn because they have no voice of their own. Abortion represents a direct mutilation of these lives and acts as a profound insult to the Creator.
Jesus taught clearly that whatever we do to the least among us is something we have done directly to him. We must take these words seriously if we are to call ourselves followers of his word. We are in a very relevant sense mutilating the Son of God by mutilating the unborn child in the womb. This horrifying thought suggests that we are continuing to crucify him millions of times over through our actions. Humanity has already crucified the Son of God once and should not seek to repeat that tragedy through the practice of abortion.
This realization should serve as a grave warning to Talarico, and really to all Christians who claim to follow the faith. True compassion for “the least of these” must include the protection of life at its very beginning. Every believer ought to be fearful of how we treat others when the stakes are this high. We must align our actions with the heart of Jesus by defending the least among us, without exception.
