LindellTV’s Pentagon Press Corps announcement makes waves

“Goodbye New York Times, Hello LindellTV,” reads the subtitle on an article by The Independent. LindellTV announced yesterday that they will be joining the Pentagon’s “next generation press corps” after dozens of mainstream media outlets refused to sign the new press rules.
The Independent labeled LindellTV as a “Trumpist propaganda streaming service” founded by Mike Lindell. Ironically, The Independent is a British tabloid owned by Russian and Saudi investors, not so independent, it seems. Meanwhile, LindellTV is publicly traded and free of foreign interest.
While media outlets love to attack LindellTV for supporting President Trump and questioning election narratives, many of those same papers and networks are backed by millions in foreign dollars. LindellTV isn’t funded by foreign interests. Likewise, we do not pretend to be centrists as some large, publicly funded media outlets do.
Americans deserve to know where their news comes from and what interests are guiding it. Too many outlets present themselves as independent, unbiased, and neutral, when in reality, the truth is far more complicated.
