POTUS directs AG Bondi to release Epstein grand jury testimony
Proponents of transparency will likely see this as a win amid significant pressure on the Trump administration to release more information on the late disgraced financier

President Trump has directed U.S. Attorney Pam Bondi to release “any and all pertinent” testimony from the case of Jeffrey Epstein, surprising many supporters late Thursday night after he lambasted the narrative as a “hoax.”
“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!” the president wrote on Truth Social.
AG Bondi responded to this very public statement on X, noting, “President Trump—we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.”
Disgraced late financier Jeffrey Epstein has been the epicenter of speculation among many who believe he may have been working as a honeypot operator. Moreover, many believed Epstein kept a running “client list” as a form of hypothetical blackmail against those alleged high-level clients.
However, following an “exhaustive review” of investigative holdings related to Epstein, the Department of Justice concluded that there was no such list in existence at this time. The DOJ also concluded that Epstein committed suicide in 2019, despite rampant speculation that he was murdered in his cell.
According to Axios, Grand Jury transcripts are usually sealed to maintain secrecy “under federal criminal procedure rules.”
Many MAGA influencers have been pressuring the Trump administration to release more information related to Epstein, drawing the ire of the president. “It’s a hoax…Some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net, and so they try to do what the Democrats want,” the president said this week.
“Instead of talking about the great achievements we’ve had…they’re wasting their time with a guy who obviously had some very serious problems…,” he added. “I’d rather talk about the success we’ve had with the economy…and all of the things we’ve done, including the Middle East.”
Some Republicans, however, have held strong in their support for Trump, regardless of social media campaigns or public pressure.
“While others were busy stabbing President Trump in the back, we were working overtime behind the scenes—in the Oval Office,” said Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., just after news broke that Trump would direct the AG to unseal Grand Jury testimony.
“@AGPamBondi is unsealing grand jury testimony—and there’s much more to come. This is the most transparent administration in U.S. history,” she continued.
Epstein was indicted years ago in New York, and it is unclear if the court will greenlight the unsealing of that testimony at the request of the attorney general.
